As some have noticed, I have been MIA lately. I've started medical school and I'm almost done with my first week! Oh my...I'm in med school....medical school....sometimes, it still shocks me and I start freaking out about it, because everyone here, the faculty, the staff, the second years all say the same thing. "It's hard." and they end their statement with, "but you all can do it. But its hard." Gee thanks for making that clear that it's hard.I have not yet gotten into the groove of things. My day goes like this, I wake up time to either shower, blow dry my hair, tidy up my room, eat breakfast and walk my 1/4 mile to school, or I wake up just in time to roll out of bed, brush my teeth and scurry over to school before 8:00AM. My day continues on with straight lectures, then lunch (they give us 1-2 hours depending on the day, which is nice. Nice for a nap!) and my day ends around 5. I have just enough time to get home, unwind, eat dinner, and then head back to school for some study time, which they tell us should be at least 4 hours a day. It's do-able, but boy, is it tiring sometimes after a long day of class. I know, I know, I complain, plenty of people do this everyday. I'm just not used to it yet. The early hours, the long hours, and all the information. But guess what?! I actually enjoy it here. Here as in med school and here as in Lewisburg, West Virginia. You heard me! I like it hear and I am very much content with this med student lifestyle. The school has done an excellent job with their expansion of the student body. They built a brand new tech building where we have class, with built in speakers so that when a student talks, they just have to put their finger on the mic and it will amplify their voices jsut enough for the whole class. They've got very comfortabe chairs, you know, those mesh chairs...yeh, great for naps too! I don't know, maybe I've just got caught up in all the excitement, but I really do appreciate this school for setting up such a well equiped study environment. It just makes life so much easier.
Well, now that I got some of that off my mind, back to the books!
Oh, by the way, Walmart is 24/7. I hear it's a happening place come midnight on a Friday night. Ok, maybe not so much, but the local Econo Lodge will do! THey have a bar underground....it's like the Kitsch bar, only no mood lighting, or lack thereof, no dj's spinning kick ass music, no cool seats and stools and non of my friends. But hey, I sure know how to play a mean game of darts....buzzed.

walmart 24/7? so that'll be the replacement to rite aid? i bet they don't have ice cream!.
